Quest: How Do You Make Popcicles

Mix up some sweet tasting juice and put it in ice trays. Then put the ice trays in the freezer. Wait for them to freeze. Take them out and eat them. Yummy!

Cooking at Summer Quest

Cherries, cherries, cherries. B. loves cherries. He wants Granny to buy some more cherries!

Applesauce was just okay. B. prefers plain fresh apples. And he prefers biscuits over watermelon but cherries over biscuits.

Applesauce recipe: 2 Pink Lady apples peeled and grated. 4 tablespoons of sugar. Splash of lemon juice. Dash of cinnamon. Cook on stovetop. Serve.

Let the Fun Begin!

Tomorrow begins our Summer Quest. For writing, my nephew will decide what his book might be about. We will work on the setting and the characters of his story. We'll see how far we can get. On tomorrow, we will tweak our schedule and build in some flex time. After all, we may have a quest for spontaneity!
